Emotional Support

The decision to have weight-loss surgery is a life changing one, and Martha Jefferson Hospital Bariatric Care Center wants you to be prepared. Before surgery, we ask that you have a mental health evaluation to assess if there are any issues that could interfere with the best surgery outcome. By completing a psychological assessment, we can help you identify your strengths and areas where you may need additional support in order to help maintain your weight-loss goals. Martha Jefferson currently works with Dr. Lewis Weber & Associates to provide you access to the emotional care you need before and after your surgery.
